Editing
I don’t edit anymore. There’s not enough coffee in the world to change my mind. I’m a military spouse, stay-at-home dad, and author — I’ve gotta sleep sometimes.
With that being said, I was fortunate enough to work with some amazing folks during my brief time as a developmental editor. Some don’t want me to blab about my involvement in their work, others don’t mind at all.
J.R. Handley and the Sleeping Legion series
Handley brings a visceral realness to his military science fiction. Jumping into the well-established Human Legion universe Tim C. Taylor and Ian Whates had developed, Handley has been finding his legs as an emerging and prolific author. Each book I receive from him is better than the last.
M.L.S. Weech
Weech and I go way back to our time in the Navy; we served together at Combat Camera Group Pacific. Weech is what I would describe as a master craftsman when it comes to storytelling. When a reader picks up one of his books, they couldn’t know how many times Weech has re-written, altered, shaped, and sharpened the words in front of their eyes. Truly an author who cares, it’s been my pleasure to work with him.
